Next Sunday evening, July 18, a nonet of our Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra all-stars will join guest vocalist Bernie Jacobs for a special tribute to the swinging legacy of the legendary Ray Charles at Icicle Creek Music Center, located in that glimpse of heaven otherwise known as Leavenworth, WA. The concert is a modified encore performance of our wildly popular Tribute to Ray Charles from this year’s mainstage concert series. Audiences will hear such swinging classics as Moanin’ , One Mint Julep, Birth of the Blues, Alabamy Bound, and Georgia On My Mind… all in the exquisitely beautiful setting of the Meadow Outdoor Stage.

Come join us at 7 p.m. for a magical evening of great music and fine wine under the stars. Bring a blanket or a low-backed camp chair, pack a picnic, and bask in the “ol’ sweet songs” of Ray Charles, as brought to life by our SRJO Nonet.

As a special gift to members of the SRJO community, Icicle Creek is offering TWO FREE TICKETS to this gorgeous outdoor concert event. We’ll announce the giveaway details by email on Monday; if you’re not already a part of our email list, please sign up today!
